Via is not an adventurer. She writes about online dating in a straightforward and funny way. She can, since the novel Weblove is inspired by her autobiography, that's why its genre is true fiction and that's why it is valid.
According to Aristotle a literary work has to teach, delight and amuse. That's what I tried hard with Weblove. And why online dating? Because it's a symptom of our age: there are millions of people worldwide who participate in this 'parlor game' and who hasn't tried it out, s/he even has an opinion about it. It might be the reason of this topic getting leave tha tabu status and that couples speak openly about the fact that their procuress was the internet. And because it's a useful device that if you use properly it can help you to find your Only One.
